Sahana Roy: The One Who Had to Leave, But Never Really Left

Some people leave a mark so deep that even after they're gone, their presence lingers. They set a standard. They show you what excellence looks like. And you hope, someday, they'll come back.

Sahana Roy is a woman I deeply admire.

She joined SPURGE Rentals as our HR and became one of the most capable, kind, and genuinely loved members of our workplace. She wasn't just good at her job - she was exceptional. She fulfilled great responsibilities, kept things running smoothly, and helped me manage the chaos that comes with growing a company.

But more than her skills, it was her character that stood out. She was strong. She was honest. She worked with integrity and kindness in equal measure - a combination that's rarer than you'd think.

When Family Calls

Life, as we all know, doesn't follow our plans. Sahana had to quit her job at SPURGE due to family reasons. It wasn't about the work. It wasn't about the company. It was about her responsibilities at home, her family needing her more than we did.

I understood. You always do when someone prioritizes what truly matters.

But I missed having her around. Replacing someone like Sahana isn't easy - not because of what she did, but because of how she did it. With care. With competence. With consistency.

The Brief Return

After some time, when things settled for her, Sahana joined us again - this time at Stocky Pro. I was thrilled. Having her back felt like getting a piece of stability and excellence returned to the team.

But life had other plans. After a couple of months, family reasons pulled her away again. She had to leave Stocky Pro, and this time, I didn't know when - or if - she'd be able to come back.

More Than a Colleague

Sahana isn't just a former employee. She's a friend. The kind of person whose honesty you trust, whose strength you admire, whose presence you value beyond the work they do.

There aren't many people like her - strong, honest women who bring both competence and kindness to everything they touch. And when you find someone like that, you don't forget them. You don't replace them. You just hope that one day, circumstances align again.

Wishing Her Well

I wish Sahana all the best in her life. I hope her family is well. I hope she finds peace, fulfillment, and happiness in whatever path she's on.

And selfishly, I hope to see her back with us someday in the future. Not because we need her - though we do - but because she deserves to be in a place that values her, respects her, and gives her the space to grow.

Sahana, thank you for everything you did for SPURGE and Stocky Pro. Thank you for setting the bar high. Thank you for being a friend.

Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, know that you'll always have a place here if you choose to return.

The Lesson

Sometimes the best employees leave. Not because they don't care, not because the work isn't good, but because life demands something else from them.

When that happens, all you can do is respect their decision, wish them well, and leave the door open.

Because people like Sahana don't come around often. And when they do, you make sure they know they're always welcome back.
